2006.08.02 I reorganized the photo section (Good Things/New Good Photos) and added some new ones. The page was getting too long so I split up the photos into their appropriate categories. I also added one new baby photo. I have been doing better updating my blog. Let's see how long this wave lasts.

2006.07.23 I added a page of baby photos to the Good Things section. As for my blog, I have had no motivation to add new posts. I don't know how blog masters, like PZ Meyers at Pharyngula, put out so much. I'll get back into it soon. The interest I have for my various hobbies always comes in waves. Like this: I=sin(t)+1

2006.06.05 We all took a big trip to Japan last month (including my parents) to my wife's hometown. I added a new section to the Good Things section below about Mt. Maya in Kobe. I also added a couple of photos and plan to add more soon. (So I haven't done much with the blog recently.) Baby Alexander recently learned how to stick out his tongue and get big laughs.

2006.03.05 The renovation is complete (for now). I even added a little history of my web page to the Good Things section. It wasn't as hard as I expected to get the Blog template to match up with the rest of the pages, but the CSS can get a little flakey in Firefox. My next project will be expanding the number of Japanese pages beyond just the main page.

2006.03.04 I'm almost done renovating the site. The hard part will be making my blog's design consistent with the main page. I made the icons for the main page out of pictures of me and my family. The one for the news section is a recent picture of our baby Alexander. Here is the larger version.

2006.02.02 I installed my new blog (blog.gnbenson.com). I will still post any significant news here on the main page, and any other good things or links in the sections above. Why did I finally decide to jump on board the overcrowded blog bandwagon? First I liked playing around with Wordpress and I am too lazy to add any easy to use editing and interactive features to my hand "coded" crude html here. By being able to update my blog easily, it might also motivate me to add some more pictures and essays to my "Good Things" section above. Now you the reader (if anyone is actually reading this) will be able to add some comments. This interactivity is what makes a blog a blog after all, and not just another one-way web page. See you in the comments section!

2006.01.29 It's a month late, but happy new year! Things have been busy as you can imagine with a new baby. (If you haven't heard, click the old news link below.) I am thinking about adding a blog to the web page. I know that would be going against previous opinions I expressed here, but I had a good time installing the Wordpress software for my wife's blog. Stay tuned! I added one new link to the Good Links section above, for the Perry Bible Fellowship web comic. I highly recommend this extremely funny comic.
