I thought about posting something today, but I decided to do it tomorrow. Then suddenly tomorrow became today, and before I knew it almost a whole week slipped by. Another problem was I didn't have anything very interesting to post about. As you can see that problem hasn't been solved, hence this rambling meta-post.
So lets talk about the weather again! From Saturday night through much of Sunday a big blizzard hit the east coast. Supposedly the amount of snowfall surpassed an old record from 1947. I think they must have measured a drift, or maybe a pile of snow a plow made, because there wasn't 26 inches of snow where I live. I realize these things can vary quite a bit though.
Here is a photo I stole from my wife's blog. (click to enlarge) My camera has somehow become her
camera so I don't get to take many of my own pictures anymore. I guess I will
have to buy myself a new camera!
I'm sure we will quickly return to the balmy winter we've been having and all this snow will melt. That is fine by me, but I can imagine the kids will be disappointed. I remember having great fun on the shores of Peconic Bay over 20 years ago when much of the bay would freeze and large slabs of ice would pile up on the beach. My cousin and I would clamber over these icy blocks and find kid-sized caves glowing with that arctic blue light.
Today's interesting link is part of the vast talk.origins archive of evolution information. Check out this list of differences between scientists and creationists (now intelligent "designists").

If'n you're still wanting topics, I think an expansion upon our atheism discussion would be of interest to people.

Thanks for the suggestion. I plan on doing that. Today? Nah, I'll do it tomorrow. Just kidding. Maybe.
